Access to Education

Access to education: Strengthening transparency, accountability and inclusion in learning and knowledge systems

Part of the Inclusive Service Delivery Africa (ISDA) webinar series

Building on the Inclusive Service Delivery Africa (ISDA) – Lessons from the Field conference held in Ottawa, Transparency International Canada is hosting an “Access to Education” session. The webinar will bring together representatives such as Senator Marilou McPhedran, ISDA chapters (Rwanda and Madagascar) and the Aga Khan Foundation to examine how barriers to education affect women, girls, and various equity-deserving communities. Through country and regional examples, speakers will share practical experiences, challenges, and success stories related to improving access to education across different contexts.

The discussion will consider equity and accountability, including the role of governance, transparency, and oversight in strengthening learning, knowledge systems and addressing barriers to access.

The 90-minute discussion, including a period for Q&A, will start at 9 a.m. EST.

Inclusive Service Delivery Africa (ISDA) is a four-year project funded by Global Affairs Canada and implemented across Madagascar, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Ghana, working with Transparency International chapters to address governance-related barriers to access in education and health care.
