Helen Darbishire Fund

Toronto, October 7, 2025 – Transparency International Canada is proud to announce that it has been selected as one of elevent global recipients of the Helen Darbishire Fund for Civil Society, awarded by the Open Government Partnership (OGP). The fund supports civil society organizations advancing transparency, accountability, and public participation in government decision-making.

Through this initiative, TI Canada will deepen its advocacy and research efforts focused on public accountability, beneficial ownership transparency, and citizen engagement. Over the coming months, TI Canada will collaborate with partners across the OGP network to advance evidence-based reforms, promote stronger access to information, and share best practices on open data and integrity in governance.

Launched in honour of Helen Darbishire, founding Executive Director of Access Info Europe and a leading advocate for the right to information, the fund supports organizations that champion transparency and civic engagement around the world.
