CPI 2022: Canada Fails to Improve on Transparency International Annual Ranking

Canada’s score on Transparency International’s 2022 Corruption Perceptions Index remained stagnant with a score of 74 out of 100. While Canada remained in the top tier of least corrupt countries, its ranking dropped to 14th place from 13 after being overtaken by Australia and Ireland.

Canada continues to sit out of the top of the Corruption Perceptions Index

Canada scored 77 out of 100 on the 2020 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) released today by Transparency International. This is the same score Canada received in 2019, keeping it out of the coveted top 10 least corrupt countries. Canada ranks 11th out of 180 countries on the 2020 CPI. Canada still trails behind leaders including Denmark and New Zealand.

Le Canada a obtenu un score de 77 sur 100 dans l'Indice de perception de la corruption (IPC) publié aujourd'hui par Transparency International. Il s’agit du même score qu’en 2019, ce qui place le Canada encore cette année derrière les 10 pays les moins corrompus. Le Canada se classe en effet 11e sur 180 pays selon l'IPC 2020, derrière les leaders comme le Danemark et la Nouvelle-Zélande.
